The Farm is located in Central Massachusetts on the East side of the Quabbin Reservoir. You can find our farm shop and our milking herd at 830 Springhill Road in Barre. From Route 122, take Old Dana Road; Springhill Road is the second left. From Route 32A, take North Road, which turns into Springhill Road. The cows are pastured on fields that slope west with views toward the reservoir.
Our fields are Certified Organic by Baystate Organic Certifiers. We use our own compost from animals and plants to enrich the soil and promote healthy pastures. Our compost is enlivened by Biodynamic preparations to encourage healthy microbial activity and create a balanced organic fertilizer. Our crops and animals move across the farm in a rotation. This keeps both the crops and animals disease free and prevents soil depletion. The crops are the breathing of the farm, and the animals are the heartbeat.
