What if I receive something in my box that I do not know how to cook?
When it comes to the kitchen, we know that not all vegetables are created equal. With that in mind, we will include with each week’s box a newsletter with recipe suggestions tailored to that week’s featured ingredients. We’ve got diverse and tasty ideas for everything—even kohlrabi! That said, we have planned our shares so that you will not receive boxes brimming with unfamiliar produce or obscure cuts of meat. We strive to create a CSA that amply supplies your kitchen standbys while still introducing you to new crops and unusual varieties, which would be difficult to find in a traditional grocery store.
What if I will be out of town one week and unable to pick-up my box?
If you cannot pick up your share, you are welcome to send friends or family members in your place.
Can I visit the farm?
YES! We love visitors. We are very open about all of our growing practices and love it when customers visit. Bear in mind that we are a working farm and that there is always work to be done, so we may not have time to shoot the breeze. But we will happily answer any questions you have, and we welcome you to explore the farm.
Can I volunteer to work on the farm?
Absolutely! We can always use a hand. Please email us ahead of time at mistybrookfarmcsa@gmail.com to ensure that we have suitable tasks on the agenda.
Do you offer a half share option?
Because our CSA is still rather small, we are keeping our options simple and offering one size. We do, however, have a large selection of food year round at the Misty Brook farm stand. Please support us by buying smaller quantities at the farm!
